Recommendations & Safety Notes

If you encounter timing, cycling, or trigger-feel issues after installation, these are commonly suggested options to try — exercise caution when changing spring weights:

• 22-pound recoil spring — may help with slide timing, sticky slide locking back and reduce short-stroke or extraction issues in certain setups.
• 4-pound striker (striker/striker-pin) spring — can complement the faster reset by reducing striker force, but will lighten the trigger pull.

The Glock FRK is built as a straight drop-in upgrade. However, due to small factory variances between pistols and aftermarket parts, a minority of pistols may require minor adjustment of the trip surface to achieve a perfect fit. This typically means slightly reducing the trip length so the barrel feed ramp sits right on top. Additional trips are given in case of filing too low. 

Important: we intentionally describe this as minor fitting. If you are not comfortable with any fitting, check troubleshooting page or contact us.

Important caution: altering spring weights changes the firearm’s behavior and will make the trigger pull lighter. Lighter trigger pulls increase the need for disciplined safe handling. Always keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to shoot and treat every firearm as loaded.
